Beer Braised Pork Chops

By: EB

Hello everyone, today we’ll be making some delicious beer braised pork chops in our kitchens. This recipe will pair off wonderfully with some fresh salad, brussels sprouts, or even some applesauce. Let’s get started.

Ingredients
1 package of thinly cut Pork Chops (approximately 2 lbs.)
1 tbsp of Minced Garlic
1 tbsp of Vegetable Oil
2 cans of Beer (approximately 12 fl oz. each)
(For Rub)
2 tbsp of Dark Brown Sugar
2 tbsp of Rosemary
1 tbsp of Garlic Powder
2 tsp of Onion Salt
1 tsp of Meat Tenderizer (unseasoned)
1 tsp of Black Pepper
1 tsp of Smoked Paprika
1/4 tsp of Ground Cloves
  • Step 1: Make the pork chop rub. In a bowl add 2 tbsp of dark brown sugar, 2 tbsp of rosemary, 1 tbsp of garlic powder, 2 tsp of onion salt, 1 tsp of meat tenderizer, 1 tsp of black pepper, 1 tsp of smoked paprika, and 1/4 tsp of ground cloves. Stir to combine rub ingredients.
  • Step 2: Take your pork chops out of their packaging and place them into a tray. Season your pork chops generously with the rub and put them back into your refrigerator for approximately 2-4 hours to allow for the absorption of the rub flavors.
  • Step 3: After 2-4 hours, take your pork chops out of the refrigerator and set aside. Pull out a large pot with a lid and place on your stove. Turn the stove heat to high. In the pot add 1 tbsp of vegetable oil and 1 tbsp of minced garlic.
  • Step 4: Once the oil is heated, place your pork chops into the pot and fry until they appear cooked or golden.
  • Step 5: After your pork chops appear cooked or golden, reduce the stove heat to medium and add 2 cans of beer to your pot. Place the lid onto your pot and cook for approximately 40-45 minutes. *Remember to check on it regularly to prevent burning.
  • Step 6: After about 40-45 minutes, remove your pork chops from the pot and serve. Enjoy!

I hope everyone enjoyed today’s recipe. Remember to STAY SAFE!
